West Sussex County Council’s ‘Beautiful West Sussex’ has been designed to promote outdoor activities and celebrate the county’s natural landscape.
Three lucky winners will receive a watersports lesson either stand-up paddleboarding, wind surfing or surfing – courtesy of West Wittering-based instructors 2XS.
Louise Goldsmith, leader of West Sussex County Council, said: “The competition is an opportunity for residents to take advantage of our stunning natural landmarks and showcase their favourite outdoor hobbies and interests.
“As a county, West Sussex really has it all – rolling countryside, miles of fabulous coastline and lots of truly delicious locally produced food and drink.
“There really is something for everyone.
“But it’s not just for visitors – there’s so much locally for residents to explore and enjoy.
“This competition is something fun for the summer holidays that the whole family can get involved in and it’s free. Let your creativity run wild and send us your favourite West Sussex.”
The aim of the competition is to gather photos which will help promote West Sussex as a visitor destination. The best images will be displayed on the West Sussex Weekends website at www.west-sussex-weekends.com
Over the next six weeks, entrants have the chance to win a themed watersports prize every fortnight. The prize draws will be made on a fortnightly basis from Monday July 25 until Monday August 22.
To enter, use the #BeautifulOutdoors hashtag on Instagram and tag @go_westsussex in your chosen photo. Participants must also direct message Go West Sussex with their email address.
Follow @lovewestsussex on Instagram for regular updates and creative ideas.
For summer holiday inspiration, the West Sussex Weekends website has a range of ideas and routes for walking, cycling and other outdoor activities.
