The Evening Prayer service will be held at St Richard’s Church on Sunday 4th March, the second Sunday of Lent. This is a monthly service which begins at 3 pm.

Next Wednesday 7th March there will be a visit from the Mobile Library to Sea Road, as usual from 11.55 am to 12.30 pm.

There has been some development regarding sports facilities within the parish. The Icklesham Parish Council Sports and Recreational Working Group met last Monday in the Court Hall to discuss costings from various play companies which are to be short listed and final bids agreed. I will aim to keep you informed of further progress.

Rye Harbour Nature Reserve has organised two interesting events for March. The first is a Spring Beach Clean on Saturday 10th March at 10 am – 1 pm and you will need to meet at Rye Harbour car park with work gloves (if you have them). The second event is a Winter Lecture entitled: ‘Extreme Mothing’ which is on Saturday 17th March, 7.30 pm at Winchelsea Beach Community Hall. It will be an illustrated talk by Graeme Lyons of the Sussex Wildlife Trust on some exciting moth-related stories that he and other moth-ers have experienced over the last 20 years. The talk is open to all and donations would be appreciated.
