Winchelsea gardens open to help hospice

GARDEN lovers were able to take a glimpse behind the walls of Winchelsea’s secret gardens when they opened last week to raise money for St Michael’s Hospice.

Bruni Llovet, from the hospice, said: “It was a fantastic day at the secret gardens of Winchelsea, with a mixture of established and new gardens. The weather was at times bright and sunny skies ensuring the gardens looked at their best.

“The crowds arrived in their droves to see the beautiful gardens and stunning views.”

“There were a few rain showers thrown in giving visitors a chance to enjoy the delicious teas.”
