Windfarm to be put under microscope

Proposals for a power line through the heart of Mid Sussex and a Channel windfarm will be put under the microscope.

The power feed cables from the windfarm would be run from the coast underground to a new sub station at Bolney.

The South Downs Society has supported the scheme, with the proviso that the opportunity is taken to also bury existing overhead cables and also tidy up an old cement works site.
