Winds cause problems at East Grinstead shop
Firefighters dealt with two shop signs and loose boarding in East Grinstead yesterday (Monday December 30).
Strong winds had caused the problems in London Road.
One shop sign was in a dangerous position having been blown loose.
Another illuminated sign was dangerously positioned over a public footpath.
Also, boarding was causing problems over the footpath.
Firefighters cordoned the area off and secured the signs and boarding.
The incident was then handed over to shop owner and power company to isolate external electrics.
