Winter woollies raise a smile

A dozen bags of woolly jumpers, jackets, ski clothes, scarves and boots were donated to the Pestalozzi Village in Sedlescombe in a bid to keep students warm during the freezing weather.

Many of the students are used to the more tropical climes of Africa, and have struggled with the recent drop in temperature. Following an appeal in the Observer, the public donated the warm clothes which were gratefully received.
