Woman banned from visiting council buildings after Bognor Regis assault.

Arun District Council has banned a woman from visiting any of its council buildings for five years following an assault on a member of staff.

Police attended Bognor Regis Town Hall in Clarence Road following a report a member of the council’s staff had been assaulted around 1.25pm on Tuesday (16 August).

The victim received swelling and bruising to her face following the assault.

The attacker received a caution for common assault.

Chief Inspector Jane Derrick, Sussex Police’s District Commander for Arun, said: “Abusive words or behaviour towards any staff at partner agencies and local businesses will not be tolerated and offenders can expect police action.

“Anyone who would like to report any incidents is asked to contact Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999 or 999 if an incident is currently taking place.”
