Woman charged over A21 death

A BATTLE woman has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a hit-and-run collision at Robertsbridge in November.

Alison Bowen, 61, of Queen Elizabeth Close, answered bail on Thursday (April 3), when she was also charged with driving without due care and attention when she had consumed alcohol exceeding the prescribed limit.

She was bailed to appear at Hastings Magistrates’ Court on April 16.

Cyclist Paul Novak, 50, of West Hill Road, St Leonards-on-Sea, died in the collision on the A21 in Robertsbridge on November 18.
