Woman hurt after collision with car in Peacehaven

A woman was in collision with a car in Peacehaven on Sunday (April 5).

Police said a Toyota Yaris driven by an 84-year-old man from Peacehaven collided with a woman passenger, also 84, who had got out of the car on Canada Close at 10am. She suffered a head injury and various broken bones and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton. She is in a critical but stable condition, police said.

A spokesman for Sussex Police added: “The Toyota Yaris also hit three parked cars, including a Lexus, a Mazda S Sport and a Vauxhall Astra, a wall and a lamp post. The driver was unhurt.”
