Woman injured after triple car crash outside Camber

A woman was treated by paramedics after a crash involving three cars outside Camber this afternoon (Thursday, April 14).

South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics were called to Camber Road at 3.20pm.

Two East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service appliances from Rye and one officer were mobilised to the scene.

On arrival it was confirmed the incident involved three private vehicles with one person trapped.

The casualty was released and left in the care of paramedics.

Firefighters made the area safe before leaving the scene at around 4.25pm.

The road was shut in both directions between the A259 and New Lydd Road.

Buses were being diverted via Brenzitt until further notice.
