Woman pedestrian seriously injured in Hailsham collision

A WOMAN was seriously injured after she collided with a car while walking in Hailsham.

The collision happened in South Road, near the junction with Arlington Road East, just before 4.30pm on Saturday, February 12.

The 60-year-old pedestrian collided with a green Paugeot 306, driven by a 62-year-old man. Both of them live in Hailsham.

An ambulance took the woman to Eastbourne District General Hospital with a fractured pelvis and arm. The male driver was not injured.

The road was partly blocked with traffic for half-an-hour.
