Woman rescued from blaze
A WOMAN was rescued from a fire.
More than 20 firefighters battled a blaze in ground-floor flat in Winterbourne Lane, Lewes, last night (Thursday).
Paramedics treated the victim for smoke inhalation and took her to the Royal Sussex Hospital in Brighton.
The fire broke out at around 10.20pm and was brought under control within 20 minutes.
Fire investigation officers are expected to visit the scene of the blaze later today (Friday).
