Woman suffers broken leg after assault in Hastings

A woman suffered a broken leg after being assaulted outside a shop in Hastings.

The 30-year-old victim spoke to a man outside the One Stop shop in Harold Place, Hastings, who then became angry and punched her in the face. She walked off and then fell to the ground and suffered a fracture to her leg at about 8.30pm on Tuesday, November 28. She was taken to the Conquest Hospital, Hastings, for treatment.

The suspect is white, aged about 20, with either strawberry blonde or ginger short hair.

Detective Constable Julian Stokes said: “It is believed that at the time of the assault, a single decker bus had just pulled in to the bus stop outside of the One Stop Shop in Harold Place and passengers either alighting or on the bus may have seen what happened.
