Woman taken to hospital after Pulborough crash

A 23-year-old woman has been taken to hospital after a car and a van collided in Pulborough this morning (Tuesday September 29).

Emergency services attended the incident at the Blackgate Lane Junction on the A29 at around 8.30am.

A woman became trapped in the car and was released by crews using hydraulic rescue equipment. She was assessed by paramedics at the scene for a chest injury before being taken to Worthing Hospital for further treatment.

Paramedics also assessed two males who sustained minor injuries, neither required further treatment.

Fire crews from Billingshurst, Storrington and Worthing were sent to the crash along with two ambulances and a paramedic car.

Police also attended and the incident has now been left with officers.
