Myra Cosham, of Falklands Drive, said she was out walking in Leechpool and Owlbeech Woods, in Harwood Road, on Sunday (June 12) when she was greeted by the man.

She said: “I was out walking alone in the pine forest “red route” in Owlbeech Woods when I passed a man wearing no clothes from the waist down.

“He made eye contact and said hello. I continued passed him and didn’t look back. I was in shock.”

Myra is partially deaf and suffers from lung disease and said she walked through the woods for therapy.

She said she often sees people walking with their dogs or young children through the woods and felt the public needed to be warned.

“I feel vulnerable now and yet I desperately need the walking exercise in fresh air,” she said.

“I feel angry with this man, whether he was harmless or not, he has made me feel threatened and now I feel vulnerable in following a routine walk which I love and which helps me cope with my illnesses.”

Police said they were investigating the incident.

“Officers conducted a search of the area but there was no trace of the suspect.

“Witnesses are asked to contact police on [email protected] or call 101, quoting serial 960 of 12/06.”
