Women's institutes to help people cut food waste

WEST Sussex women's institutes are supporting a unique pilot project in support of the Love Food Hate Waste campaign.

The Waste & Resources Action Programme (Wrap) project aims to help people get the most out of the food they buy and reduce the amount of food that is thrown away at home.

The first meeting, to be run by WI member Janice Langley of the local Love Food group in West Sussex, will take place on February 21.

"The WI is passionate about food, preventing waste and conserving our planet's resources," said Ms Langley, who has been named the West Sussex Love Food Champion for the WI.

"I am really excited that West Sussex will be running one of the first groups.
