Work starts on revolutionary recycling plant at Ford
WORK has begun on a new multi-pound,state-of-the-art plant at Ford airfield that will revolutionise the way recycled rubbish is handled in West Sussex.
The work was formally launched last week by John de Mierre,a county councill cabinet member, who operated a giant digger to start the major retransformation of the area.
The material recyclling facility is the first plant of its type in the county and one of the most advanced in the UK. It will sort recyclable materials collected from all West Sussex households and will be operated on behalf of the county by Viridor Waste Management.
