Work to start on Yapton main road

The 28,000 scheme will involve building a pavement on the south side of the B2233 Main Road at its junction with North End Road.

Other improvement work will also take place on the north side of Main Road at its junction with Canal Road.

The work should begin on Monday and continue for up to four weeks, weather permitting.

It will be carried out between 7.30am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays. Occasional work will be done from 8am until 1pm on Saturdays.

Three-way traffic lights will be in operation at both junctions while the workmen are present.
