Construction of Lewes’ controversial Premier Inn looks set to begin in summer, according to the developer Quora.
It will hold a community liaison meeting with the South Downs National Park, the town council, district council, Friends of Lewes and the Conservation Area Advisory Group, together with residents representing Court Road and Friars Walk.
The meeting will take place in mid April and monthly meetings will be held from then on through the construction. Quora stressed it was not a public meeting.
The purpose of the group is to provide a forum for discussion of issues during construction. Minutes of the meeting will be made publicly available. The hotel should open in summer 2016.
