Workman injured after fall from scaffolding

Emergency services were called to York Place, Brighton, after a man fell from scaffolding this morning (April 3).

South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECamb) said it was called at 11.35am today to reports a man, reportedly a builder, had 'suffered a fall from height and landed on a flat roof'.

The spokesperson said: "Ambulance crews, including our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) attended alongside the fire service.

"The man was assessed and treated at the scene and brought down to safety before being taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital.

"He had suffered injuries but conscious at the scene."
