Worthing and Chichester court results

THE FOLLOWING are court results for Chichester and Worthing magistrates’ courts from August 10 to 14.

Martin Beach, 39, of Wantly Road, Worthing, was discharged conditionally for 18 months after admitting damaging a window belonging to Worthing Homes on May 6, 2015; and using threatening words or behaviour. A restraining order was made and he must pay a £15 victim surcharge, £85 costs and £150 criminal courts charge.

Leanne Constable, 31, of Glebelands Close, Shoreham, was discharged conditionally for 12 months after admitting using threatening words or behaviour in Barton Close, Tarring, on July 25, 2015; assaulting police constable; and stealing two bottles of wine from Tarring News and Wine. She must pay £7.98 compensation, £15 victim surcharge, £15 costs and £150 criminal courts charge.

Kevin Darke, 60, of Palmer Road, was discharged conditionally for six months, after admitting keeping cats in his home, breaching a disqualification under the Animal Welfare Act. He must pay £15 victim surcharge, £85 costs and £180 criminal courts charge.

Farai Kusotera, 33, of Howard Street, Worthing, was fined £365 and must pay £37 victim surcharge, £85 costs and £150 criminal courts charge after admitting drink-driving (50mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Howard Street, Worthing, on July 26, 2015. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Jack Murray, 22, of Butler Court, Littlehampton Road, Worthing, was discharged conditionally for 12 months and must pay £180 criminal courts charge after admitting aiding a driver to fail to stop after an accident that damaged a signpost; and wilfully obstructing a police constable. He was also fined £110 and must pay £85 costs, £150 criminal courts charge, after admitting permitting a driver to use a vehicle without insurance. He was disqualified from driving for six months.

Ben Pearson, 23, of Orkney Court, Worthing, was given a community order and must carry out 120 hours’ unpaid work after admitting drink-driving (86mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Upper Brighton Road, Worthing, on July 5, 2015; and driving a vehicle without the owner’s consent. He must pay £60 victim surcharge, £85 costs and £150 criminal courts charge. He was also disqualified from driving for 36 months. He also admitted driving without insurance and driving without a licence, no separate penalty.

Mark Smith, 37, of Wessex Court, Tennyson Road, Worthing, was fined £180 and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs and £150 criminal courts charge after admitting assault by beating. He was also given a restraining order.

Daniel Taylor, 38, of Lennox Road, Worthing, was fined £100 and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £80 costs, £150 criminal courts charge, after admitting using threatening words or behaviour in Tarring on July 7, 2015. He also admitting intending to cause alarm or distress, no separate penalty.

Silviu Baltag, 24, of Wick Parade, Wick, was given a community order and must carry out 80 hours’ unpaid work after being found guilty of assault by beating. He must also pay £200 compensation, £60 victim surcharge and £310 costs.

Sam Stevens, 31, of Addison Close, Lancing, was fined £200 after being found guilty of driving without a licence in West Lane, Lancing, on March 26, 2015. He was also fined £600 and must pay £60 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after being found guilty of driving without insurance. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

Anwar Ali, 33, of Corbyn Crescent, Shoreham, was fined £73 and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting driving a vehicle with a damaged tyre on the A23 Handcross on March 1, 2015. His driving record was endorsed with three points. He was fined £73 after admitting a second charge of driving a vehicle with a damaged tyre and and fined £55 after admitting putting passengers in danger.

William Hodge, 21, of Abbey Road, Lancing, was fined £110 and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting driving without due care and attention on the A27 Shoreham. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

Bradley Swift, 21, of Townsend Crescent, Littlehampton, was fined £435 and must pay £44 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting driving without insurance in Worthing Road, Littlehampton, on October 27, 2014, on October 27, 2014. He also admitted driving without ‘L’ plates, no separate penalty. He was disqualified from driving for six months.

Samuel Campbell, 36, of Belsize Road, Worthing, was fined £600 and must pay £60 victim surcharge, £85 costs and £150 criminal courts charge, after being found guilty of failing to identify a driver when required by police. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

Nikolay Gelebeshav, 31, of The Strand, Goring, was fined £600 and must pay £60 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after being found guilty of driving without insurance in Durrington Lane, Worthing, on March 7, 2015. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

David Madge, 19, of Timberleys, Littlehampton, was fined £200 and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after being found guilty of driving over 70mph on the A27 Aldingbourne on February 18, 2015. His driving record was endorsed with three points.

Ryan Pettit, 42, of Marlowe Road, Broadwater, was fined £200 and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after being found guilty of failing to stop at a red light in Broadwater Road, Worthing, on February 17, 2015. His driving record was endorsed with three points.

Jose Alexandre, 41, of Rowlands Road, Worthing, was discharged conditionally for 24 months and must pay £15 victim surcharge, £85 costs, £150 criminal courts charge, after admitting using threatening words or behaviour on July 29, 2015; using threatening words or behaviour on December 30, 2014; being drunk and disorderly in Warwick Street, Worthing, on July 21, 2015; using threatening words or behaviour in Subway on July 31, 2015; and entering Worthing town centre while excluded by an anti-social behaviour order.

Clive Mayhew, 54, of Selden Road, Worthing, was discharged conditionally for six months and must pay £15 victim surcharge, £35 costs, £150 criminal courts charge, after admitting being drunk and disorderly in Montague Place, Worthing, on July 29, 2015.

Jamie Howard, 34, of Downview Road, Worthing, was discharged conditionally for 12 months and must pay £15 victim surcharge, £150 costs, after admitting fraud by dishonestly obtaining data and selling private information.

Charlotte Charman, 20, of Bellscroft Close, Littlehampton, was fined £110 and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting driving without insurance in Courtwick Road, Littlehampton, on November 15, 2014. He was disqualified from driving for two months.

John Hodder, 51, of Wick Street, Wick, was fined £165 and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting driving without insurance in Yapton Road, Bognor Regis, on January 22, 2015.

Mohammad Mangal, 19, of Offington Lane, Salvington, was discharged conditionally for 12 months after admitting assault by beating. He must pay £50 compensation and £150 costs. He admitted a second charge of assault by beating and must pay a further £25 compensation.

Joshua Osborne, 18, of Durrington Gardens, The Causeway, Goring, was discharged conditionally for 12 months after admitting assault by beating. He must pay £50 compensation and £150 costs. He admitted a second charge of assault by beating and must pay a further £25 compensation.
