Worthing cabbies call off go-slow protest

CAB drivers have called of a protest move that would have led to traffic chaos in Worthing town centre.

The slow-drive action, involving more than 400 cab drivers had been called over roadworks in Chapel Road that would have seen the taxi rank relocated to to nearby Chatsworth Road for around five weeks.

But the go-slow, planned for Monday, January 12 was called off on Friday afternoon after an agreement was reached for alternative ranks.
