Worthing daylight street robbery

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two men were assaulted and one was robbed during a street attack.

Details have just been released about the incident on August 1, at 4.45pm, one of the victims was pushed to the floor and the other was punched in the face and had his wallet stolen.

The victims, aged 42 and 31, were walking along Christchurch Road towards the railway station when they were approached by the two men who attacked them.

The first suspect is described as white, 5ft 4in tall and of medium build with cropped hair.

The second man is described as white, 6ft tall, of slim build with cropped hair. They had a blue carrier bag containing beer cans with them.

There may also have been a third man with them, described as white, aged about 23, 6ft 2in tall, and of slim build with short, light-brown or blond hair.

Three men were arrested nearby a short time later on suspicion of robbery and released on bail until August 21.
