WORTHING EVACUATION: 41 homes still in fire exclusion zone

WORTHING Borough Council is providing overnight accommodation for 41 households within an 80 metre exclusion after fire at an industrial unit today.

Hundreds of households were evacuated after the fire started at a vehicle recovery business in Friars Walk, at 1.45am this morning (Thursday, December 3).

A temporary rest centre was set up at Worthing Leisure Centre, as it was feared acetylene cylinders on the premises might explode.
