Worthing firefighters rescue a woman

A WOMAN and her two dogs were rescued from a smoke-filled house in Worthing.

The home in Highdown Avenue, near Thomas A Becket, was filled with smoke yesterday evening (Sunday, December 27) after cooking was left on.

Worthing fire fighters raced to the scene at 9pm.

On leaving the scene, they fitted a smoke alarm.

The woman refused to go to hospital but was treated at the scene by paramedics.
