Worthing leak update

THE water supply to 15 houses was interrupted for an hour and a half last night following a water leak in Lyndhurst Road, Worthing.

Affected residents were informed, by Southern Water, in advance of the interruption which occured between 8.15pm-9.45pm, while repair work took place.

The leak, on a six-inch water main, was reported at 4.15pm yesterday (Tuesday, August 20).

A repair crew arrived at the scene at 4.45pm to carry out repairs and a temporary traffic diversion was put in place.

A spokesperson from Southern Water said: “We have thousands of miles of water mains, and customers’ help is vital as we work round the clock to find and repair leaks.”
