Worthing man, 60, seriously injured in collision with a car

A Worthing man has been seriously injured in a collision with a car.

Sussex Police said the 60-year-old pedestrian was involved in the incident in Sompting Avenue this morning (February 2) at 7.10am.

He had collided with a car, police said, just before the junction with Beaumont Road and suffered serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police are seeking information about the injured man, who did not have identification on him, and is described as being white with grey hair.

Anyone who saw either party prior to the collision, or who witnessed what happened or who may have relevant dash-cam footage is urged to come forward.
