Worthing RFC’s wonderful Wolverines have big hearts

A RUGBY club’s smallest players showed they had the biggest hearts when they filled shoeboxes with Christmas gifts for children in poorer countries.

The Worthing Wolverines, the under-fives’ squad of Worthing Rugby Club, in Angmering, and their families, responded generously to a suggestion by their co-manager, Karla McCarthy, to collect the boxes for the charity Operation Christmas Child UK.

The packages will soon be on their way to children of a similar age to the Wolverines. “We are so proud of the boys and girls of the team for helping me with Operation Christmas Child,” said Karla “The shoeboxes will go to countries where Father Christmas cannot land his sleigh!”
