There will be two sessions on the day to reveal how renting out your land or property for use by television and film productions could benefit you.

The event will cover any questions you may have about the logistics and processes involved in renting out your property to a productions company. The first session starts at 1.45pm and the second at 4.30pm.

Television and film production companies are always on the lookout for new, unique or mundane surroundings to use as filming locations. Anything from a picturesque field or an industrial garage to a suburban family home or a cinema ... a whole host of different backdrops are needed for varying projects.

On top of the benefit of possibly being selected for the latest popular drama or film, these productions companies will pay you for using your property.

It is widely known that popular BBC One police drama Cuffs recently filmed in East Sussex. The location manager from Tiger Aspect Productions, the makers of Cuffs, attended one of Creative England’s familiarisation trips to the county in October 2014, which introduced them to local Filming Authority partners as well as a whole host of interesting locations in the area.

In addition to conducting such familiarisation trips, Creative England continually works in partnership with local authorities in the South East and throughout all of the English regions to ensure a smooth filming experience for production companies and local councils alike.

East Sussex’s locations have played host to many other productions, such as feature films Free Fire and The Monuments Men which were filmed in Rye - which also became the fictional seaside town of Tilling for the BBC dramatisation of the Mapp and Lucia stories.
