Wrestling champion Kris Kay faces a new threat when he makes his first Peacehaven appearance tonight (Saturday February 28).

The giant Southern Area title-holder, weighing in at around 20st, will face rough-house London heavyweight Stingray Stevenson in the top of the bill bout on the big Saturday night grappling spectacular at the Meridian Centre.

Stevenson, who will also be making his Peacehaven debut, is the latest star name to be included in the show and takes the place of Wolf Alexander, who has been forced to withdraw from the line-up after sustaining a torn knee cartilage in a recent contest.

The tough, rule-bending Stevenson, however, will provide a big test for Kay, who will be aiming to make up for lost time after sitting out his previous booking at the hall when the fire alarms went off in the Meridian complex causing the event to be abandoned before Kay could enter the ring.

The star-studded supporting card includes tag team action and a special international ladies bout when “Little Miss Dynamite” Erin Angel, who won the hearts of the Peacehaven fans when she beat Ireland’s Rhia O’Reilly last year, faces a huge task against the 6ft Jamaican wrestler Amazon.

Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.30pm, are available from the Information Office at the Meridian Centre, call 01273 585493, £10 for adults and £9 for concessions. A family ticket for two adults and two children costs £36.
