Local postman Lee Neumann also ran the Berlin Marathon on September 25.

Landlord Doug Haw said: “I would like to thank the generosity of my customers who turned up for a great evening’s entertainment with former undisputed world middleweight champion Alan Minter.

“Thanks also to all who sponsored Lee in his run and everyone who donated gifts to the auction and those who bought them.

“Alan regularly gives up his time to support local charities and I am especially grateful to him and Debbie for their support.

“Lee Neumann also completed the Berlin Marathon in three-and-a-half hours.”

The pub will raise funds for the charity with a raffle on October 30.
