YOBS THROW DRAIN COVER ON TO RAIL LINE
A drain cover was thrown on to the railway line at Seaford at about 8.30pm on Saturday.
The cover was removed by station staff.
Sgt David Kemp said: 'This is a very serious incident. Throwing anything like this onto the tracks could cause a train to derail.
'I would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this. The matter is being investigated by the British Transport Police who are following several lines of enquiry.'
