A kickboxing instructor and coach spent the day teaching the sport to pupils at a village school.
Carl Denne, from Hastings Kickboxing Academy (HKA), and Jade Sargent visited Westfield School, giving instructions in seven different classes, from reception to year six.
They carried out sessions with more than 220 pupils at the school.
Carl said: “Being a positive role model to so many young children is a hugely rewarding position to be in, helping them to understand fitness and healthy living and why it’s so important to behave in and out side of school.
“The school approached myself at HKA after hearing from a few children that attend the school the positive effect we can have on some of their parents siblings.
“I had the pleasure to meet some great young children the other week and if you are a parent of Westfield School be very proud.
“Myself and Jade taught more than 220 children in one day in classes of roughly of 30 and every single one of them were brilliant.
“I was blown away how respectful and well behaved they all were. They all wanted to train hard and learn.
“We have given away over 16 free classes to the best students today as a reward.
“I am extremely happy that I get opportunities like this one to go into schools and teach so many year groups. I have to book a day off from my regulate job to do this but it’s worth every second.”
Hastings Kickboxing Academy runs classes at many schools throughout term time.
HKA is currently working with local schools and council schemes within the county helping to promote healthy leaving, anti-bullying and helping build confidence just to name a few things.
The organisation now has a new extended gym at BrookWway, Ivyhouse Lane Industrial Estate in St Leonards.
