Young dancers taste success

YOUNG dancers from Rye’s Splitz Academy enjoyed success at the recent Ore Stage Festival netting numerous awards.

Principal Stacey Caister said: “All students achieving fantastic marks and enjoying the chance to perform on stage at a competitive level.

“Following on from this success students are currently participating in ISTD Ballet exams in London Headquarters and ISTD Modern and Tap exams at the studio in Rye Sport Centre.

“Looking towards the end of the busy summer term, along with dancing at school fetes, Splitz are now taking bookings for their popular Musical Theatre Summer School running from August 12 - 16 and open to children from 2 ½ years.

“This is a week long event that combines singing, dancing and acting along with games and activities and culminates in a performance on stage at Rye College on the Friday.

“The school will also be offering two activity days on Tuesdays August 6 and 20 from 10-2pm at the studio which are also open to all for a snapshot of Musical Theatre at its best.
