Young vandals smash cars

Police said eight vehicles had their windscreens or windows broken around Lower Park Road just after 1am. One house had a stone thrown through the window.

PC Jessica Crump said: "This appears to have been mindless criminal damage and I would like to hear from anyone who has information."

Officers said they received reports of four youths seen damaging one of the cars. All were 16 to 17-year-olds.

One of the boys was six feet tall and wore a grey hooded top, baseball cap and jeans.

The other boy had black hair and a blue hooded top.
