Youngsters dive in for pyjama splash

Active members of 1st Pagham and Aldwick Rainbows spent an hour enjoying a pyjama swim in aid of charity.

The 16 girls, aged five to seven, were joined by four older sisters for a fun time at the Westgate Leisure Centre at Chichester.

One has raised 72 to give hope that hundreds of pounds could be raised in all. The activity was a cheeky monkey challenge in aid of the Children with Leukaemia charity.

One of those who took part, Kate Christopher, said: "It's good to raise money and fun because it's different to swim in pyjamas."

The full list of Rainbow swimmers was: Sophie Clapp, Georgia Brian, Anna Wisdom, Kate Christopher, Emily White, Jasmine Petworth, Sophia Wawrezski, Alice Cox-Rusbridge, Daisy Donoghue, Georgia Young, Emily Murrell, Zoe Crisp, Chloe Sullivan, Laura Coman, Emilie Pigdon and Elise Donoghue.

The following big sisters also took part: Ellie Sullivan, Jasmine Wawrezski, Jade Young and Amy Clapp.
