youngsters kick racism into touch

UNITED Colours of Football coaching session was held last Wednesday as part of an anti-racism campaign called Kick it Out.

Adur council, which has already signed up for the Racial Equality Charter for Sport, held the coaching session for children aged from five to 12 at Lancing Leisure Centre, with the aim of fighting racism in football and celebrating the involvement of black communities in football across Britain.

Adur council's community services chairman Paul Graysmark said: "We are committed to encouraging people from all ethnic communities to take part in sport and recreation.

"We shall also endeavour to remove racial discrimination and achieve racial equality in our leisure facilities."
