Youngsters to sell their wares at Worthing trade fair

YOUNG people taking part in a business taster initiative will be selling their products in Worthing town centre on Saturday.

The Young Enterprise South Downs Trade Fair will be located in Montague Street between 9.30am and 3pm, with around 10 companies present.

Young Enterprise, an education and business charity, specialises in being different with over 250,000 young people nationally becoming involved in business. The scheme allows students to run their own businesses during an academic year and compete with each other to find the most successful one.

The winner from the South Downs area will compete in the county final in May.

Worthing and Adur Chamber of Commerce chief executive Tina Tilley said: “With the lack of careers advice in schools it is even more important that young people are encouraged to look at starting their own business and Young Enterprise allows them to do just that.”
