Your chance to help nurture young trees

A chance to give some TLC to more than 11,000 young trees is available in North Bersted this weekend.

Volunteers from the Friends of Bersted Brooks have invited anyone interested to join them mulching some of the trees on the site.

Those who go along from 10am on Saturday will have the chance to indulge in some wildlife spotting as well as helping out.

More then 70 species of birds have been seen there along with unusual insects and deer.

Bersted Brooks is north of Rowan Way, with the entrance opposite the Halfords and KFC retail park.

Tools, instruction and work gloves will be provided, but sensible footwear is a must.
