Pointing out some inaccuracies

Professor David Younge’s letter last week contains a number of inaccuracies.

It talks about an allocation of 360 homes for social housing in the Fairfield Homes development in north Hailsham. The correct allocation is 280, according to the outline application Wealden has resolved to approve.

The distribution of this much-needed social housing – there are current 368 households on the housing register for Hailsham – will be in line with our proposed Strategic Sites policy SCP1. This states: “The affordable housing provision on each site should be fully integrated with the market housing and distributed throughout the development.”
