Bringing meaningful change to Newhaven?

Simon Barnes (letters, February 6) says he is voting UKIP because the main parties have done nothing while ‘the economic prosperity of Newhaven has drained away’.

Odd then that he is supporting a party who were against the Rampion Windfarm, which will be using Newhaven as a base and reportedly bring 750 jobs and around a £2bn boost to the local economy – if Government figures are to be believed.

Perhaps his preferred candidate, Ray Finch, could tell us his plans to bring ‘real meaningful change to Newhaven’.
