Can Lewes District Council please do something about Splash Point

My mother, who is 88, is now not able to get out on her own for many reasons.

I took her for a gentle stroll down to see the Splash Point gate last week, having warned her she would not be able to go to her favourite viewing spot.

She was so disappointed not to be able, as usual, to go to the far groyne and see the remains of the steps down which she would go with her father to go prawning in the rock pools.

Along with the many other emails, Facebook posts and other pleas, I urge Lewes District Council to do whatever is necessary – forget the buck passing about ownership – to restore access to this important beauty spot for residents, visitors and my mum.
