Church could attract tourists

Along with many others I read with concern about the possible loss of All Souls Church.

For several years now there has been a campaign to find somewhere suitable to display the Hastings Tapestry. The Hastings Local History Group has suggested that it could be a focus for many other tourist attracting activities including reconstruction of historic embroidery techniques and demonstration and training in them and so on.

All Souls would be a good place with the space and height to display the tapestry as it might have been done in an early medieval hall. If only temporarily during the 2016 commemorations this would give a chance - perhaps while waiting for other proposals to mature - to test out at scale the feasibility of the History Group ideas.
