Councillor gets blue badge fee cut for ex-servicemen

After reading Mr Graham Allt’s letter in the Sussex Express a few weeks ago, regarding veterens who have been injured while on active service and having to pay for their blue badge, I am very pleased to tell him, that this is one councillor who has listened to him.

I am pleased to tell him that from now, any service personnel who have been injured while on active service, and is entitled for a Blue Badge, no longer has to pay.

It is only a small charge, but a very big thank you to our Armed Forces. I would like to thank Keith Hinkly, Head of Adult Social Care, for making it happen. With Armed Forces Day fast approaching, I hope other counties will follow suit.
