Dismayed at dismal design

WHILE delighted that Seaford is to have a new library, I am dismayed at the proposed design.

It looks like a 1960’s office building.

Why has no attempt been made for it to blend in with the surrounding buildings with their use of hung tiles, flint or red brick?

Instead we get drab brickwork and unnecessary pillars.

This library, on the main road through Seaford, should be something special that everyone can be proud of. What a missed opportunity.
