Former Lewes Magistrate’s Court house - how can we even think of demolishing it?

No, I have thought about it and I still cannot see how anyone could, rationally and impartially, decide to knock down the court house building, which despite its relative youth is possessed of considerable dignity and presence, and was clearly built to last.

Then replace it with something so undeniably tedious, tawdry and mundane.

Do the supporters of this scheme not realise that the reason visitors come to Lewes and admire it so much, is because of the absence of such buildings?
