LETTER: Lewesians’ cries fall on deaf ears

I entirely agree with John Curtis (letters, December 18).

County Hall was not the best place for a big discussion.

Once again SDNP and the council did not listen to the people of Lewes.

We pay our council taxes. We elect the council members to listen to what we want and not what the developers want.

Many people of Lewes were absolutely against Santon and still very much are.

Well it’s goodbye to the quirky county town of Lewes, for that is what the developers and the council seem to be trying to do – make Lewes exactly like Brighton town, which the people do not want.
