We have just enjoyed a lovely week’s holiday in Lewes. It is a lovely town, and it has so many historical places to visit.
Last Friday, we parked our car in the car park opposite Harvey’s Brewery. We found a place next to a disabled bay. A car was parked in this bay.
We had a nice lunch, shopped and went to our parked car. When we arrived, we were told that a car, parked in the disabled bay, had reversed out then come forward to leave the car park. It then collided with our car. It broke the rear fog light and damaged the bumper, causing £200 of damage.
Needless to say, this person did not stop and nobody took the car’s number.
This incident spoilt what had been a lovely holiday. We would like to thank a very nice parking attendant for his help and concern. He stated that this sort of incident is a common occurance.
