Police complaints - lack of faith in system

I have a complaint against the police, which gives me no pleasure because I am a retired Metropolitan Police Officer approaching my 90th birthday.

To my surprise and concern I have discovered that the following are involved in complaint procedures: 1) The Independent Police Complaint Commission; 2) The Professional Standards Department; 3) The Police and Crime Commissioner; 4) The Chief Executive and Monitoring Officer; 5) The Sussex Police Authority; 6) Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

My particular complaint is confirmed and verified in Sussex Police Records and the result would also be of interest to others.

My lack of faith in the system will be tested in due course because, from experience, even confirmed evidence in their own files is often ignored and dismissed.

I submit this information, with respect, in the hope it may help someone else in a similar situation.
