‘Righteousness’ is a politician’s role

With the UK election looming up, I decided to write thus: “we can’t have a perfect political system with imperfect humanity.”

When I was being schooled, we were taught to debate over politics, rather than being contentious.

Isn’t it so that according to “The Good Book”, a politician’s role is to execute righteousness on the earth and to thwart evil?
